Lady's parasol, Philippines ca. 1890
Parasol for lady, Philippine work circa 1890. Total height 65.5 cm.
Gabardine in green silk with two large floral and vegetal motifs hand painted in gouache. Fine spokes and matching rods made of wood, those joined together by a delicate braiding of green wool yarns. The rods, on the outside, are painted black. Black painted wooden cap with handwritten inscription. Cane with straight wooden handle. Very good preservation.
