Ichine Alexandre Vladimirovich (1941-2015).
Soviet monumental artist, easel painter, painter, applied arts specialist, teacher.
He graduated from Moskovskiy Akademicheskiy Khudozhestvennyy Litsey Pri Rossiyskoy Akademii Khudozhestv (Moscow secondary art school of The Surikov Art Institute in Moscow). In 1966 he graduated from The Surikov Art Institute in Moscow, from the class of V.F. Ryndin and M.M. Kurilko. Since 1965 he was a regular participant in exhibitions in Russia and abroad, since 1967 he became a Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, People's Artist of the USSR. He held 12 solo exhibitions in Russia, Germany, and the Netherlands. In 2001-2006, he was Rector of the State Specialist Institute of Arts, was the Head of the International Center for the Creative Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.
The artist's works are exhibited in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum, The Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, Marc Chagall Museum (Vitebsk), the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum (Aachen, Germany), other museums and private collections in Russia, the USA, Israel, and European countries.
