attributed to Jean Cocteau, French, 1889 to 1963, color pencil painting on paper depicting a double portrait of Orpheus, 1960. Signed and dated, upper to the center. Titled in the print, The Paradox of The Actor, upper to the center. Matted. Jean Maurice Eugene Clement Cocteau was a French poet, playwright, novelist, designer, filmmaker, visual artist, and critic. He was one of the foremost artists of the surrealist, avant-garde, and Dadaist movements and an influential figure in early 20th century art. One of a kind artwork.
