ANCIENT EGYPTIAN BRONZE CAT FIGURE 664 TO 332 BC
An ancient Egyptian bronze figure of a sitting cat and possibly representing the goddess Bastet. Approximately 664 to 332 BC. The cat stands on a large elongated stand with illegible embossed text. Recognizable Egyptian elegant silhouette of an animal with large ears, long thin legs and a narrow muzzle. Most likely, the model for the figure was the cat breed Felis lybica, the most common in Egypt at that time. Historical Ancient Collectibles, Sculpture, Figures, Figurines And Decor.
