ANTIQUE JAPAN MEIJI ERA SATSUMA VASES BY HAKUSAN
A pair of high-quality antique Japanese Satsuma pottery vases by the Hakusan factory at the White Mountain kiln. The vases are of an ovoid form, with a light oatmeal ground hand painted with a traditional scene depicting two noble ladies and a girl in a blooming garden, beautifully accented with gilding. Geometric patterned bands to the top and bottom. Marked on the bottom, Hakusan, hand scripted in simple outlined lozenge. Hakusan is a small factory but very consistently high quality.
