LARGE ANTIQUE ITALIAN GLAZED MAJOLICA CHARGER PLATE
A fine and very large antique Italian polychrome majolica ceramic charger plate depicting a portrait of a Renaissance man, possibly Galeotto Manfredi, lord of Faenza, in a grotesque framing showing the elaborate acanthus leaves, a green man, and other motifs. Apparently unmarked. Circa the second half of the 19th century or early 20th century. Collectible Majolica Plates, Istoriato Ware, Renaissance Applied Arts, Mediterranean Pottery.

Condition
Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. Chips on edges. Some damage on glaze on back. Refer to photos. Sold As Is.
