ATTR TO MARCEL BOVIS LANDSCAPE MIXED MEDIA PAINTING
Watercolor and pastel on paper painting. Attributed to Marcel Bovis, 1904 to 1997, a renowned French photographer, member of Le Groupe des XV. The artwork represents a park pound with a gate in the distance. Signed by the artist in pencil in the bottom middle. Golden frame. Bovis studied at the National School of Decorative Arts in Nice from 1919 to 1922 and worked as a decorator until 1927 when he took up photography. Thus, this work presumably dates back to the 1920s. Collectible European Graphic Art.
