19th century Algerian mezuzah, a hand-embroidered silver plate, the image of the menorah and the name S-D-Y, the plate is placed on top of an African wooden plate leveled at the back with a hole for placing a mezuzah parchment. This is a rare and very important Judaica item. Identical items are displayed (in less good condition) in the Jewish Museum in Paris and Switzerland, photos of the museum items are attached.
Dimensions - 23/15 cm
