"Mizrah" is painted in oil colors on a glass back. Central Europe, 18th century.
A painted frame in the shape of an ark, a large Torah crown and a pair of birds. In the center, inside a circle, appears the inscription "Mizrahm" and around it "From the east of the sun to the entrance of the hallel of the Lord's name, Sh. 5 L. 3 [My God is always against me]." On both sides of the circle: "From this side Ruach Haim." In the lower part : "Exalt the Lord above all nations, his glory in the sky", illustration of a lion (with two tails) and two lamps (seven reeds).
Height: 22.5 cm, width: 21 cm. Fracture in the upper right corner. Part of the background is faded. Wooden frame 29x28 cm.
