Syrian Damascus game table, circa 1900
An old, high-quality game table inlaid with wood and mother-of-pearl in marquetry work and Damascus work. Decorated with geometric patterns and carving work. The upper surface detaches and opens a card board that opens into a backgammon board (74x74 cm), and from it another board for a chess game (54x54 cm) is pulled out. The table includes an inner compartment covered with fabric and an additional shelf in the lower part. Dimensions (closed and folded state): 70x34x80 cm. Slight defects (few chips, slight abrasions and peeling).
