Francis Wainwright (1940-), The Owl and the Pussycat, signed and dated 1986, acrylic on board, 30 x 29cm.; 11.75 x 11.5in. * Studied at Burslem School of Art. With his wife Sheila he produced a series of children's books and in 1987 his translation of Pinocchio appeared. Showed widely in Britain and internationally and was included in People and Places at Gagliardi Gallery in 1993. Artists' Resale Right (droit de suite) may apply to this lot.
