Braley (1854 - 1927) Pastel on paperboard , Signed , measures 23.5" x 5" , w/frame 30.5" x 12"Mr. Braley was buried in KIANTONE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH CEMETERY, KIANTONE, NY in a family plot or near family members. The cemetery records list his birth and death years as follows: Braley, Clarence E. b. 1854 d. 1927 . Also, Mr. Braley appears in a manuscript written by Mrs. Elwyn G. Campbell, entitled: "Artists of This Vicinity" (Part Two), submitted at the Roundabout Club in 1921 and at the Fairhaven Colonial Club in 1922 (Fairhaven, Mass.), the short passage reads as follows: "Clarence Braley does decorating of all kinds of artistic work. He also does delightful watercolor."
