Antique Quilt - Wool Log Cabin c1870s
Antique c1870s quilt or counterpane in a Log Cabin Barn Raising Pattern in mostly wool challis and delaines, measuring 73 inches by 73 inches. It is hand pieced with finished edges, but there is no batting, and the backing is essentially the fabric foundation squares. What appears to be quilting stitches on the back, is the piecing to the foundation. It is bound with a wool tape. In poor condition with a lot of fabric deterioration and tears, but a wonderful study piece for period fabrics and interesting construction. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate. I will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
