Antique 1847 Friendship Quilt Measuring 80 by 93 inches. It is comprised of 28 blocks, 13 by 13 inches, set on point and staggered, 3 by 4. Partial blocks are used as setting triangles. There is a 2 inch floral stripe sash and with a tan and blue print cornerstone. It is hand pieced, hand inked, and hand quilted. Very thin cotton batting and a brown print reverse. It is in poor condition with overall toning, fabric deterioration along the perimeter, fabric deterioration in the Turkey red fabric, overall edge wear, and other spots. There are some wonderful antique fabrics in this quilt including Prussian blue, chintz, and more. Eatons Neck Long Island is a very small inlet in New York.
