Antique c1920 Off Set Medallion Sampler Quilt measuring 66x77", Comprised of 27 blocks, with additional partial blocks, of various sizes. Patterns include Bear Par, Flying Geese, Crazy Patchwork, and more. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a printed stripe reverse. The edge is finished with an applied stripe fabric binding. In good condition with only small discolorations. There is a sleeve along the back edge for hanging. This quilt can be seen on page 129 of "Vintage Quilts" co-authored by Bobby Aug. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter's Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
