A BRONZE STATUE OF A CIRCASSIAN SOLDIER BY E. LANCERAY, CA. 1870
A statue by famed Russian sculptor Eugeny Lanceray (1848 – 1886) and cast at the famed Chopin foundry. This statue depicts a mounted Circassian soldier in traditional garb peering backward as he rides. The sculpture is signed at its base by both Lanceray and Chopin.
