A RUSSIAN ORTHODOX ICON OF ST. NICHOLAS THE MIRACLE WORKER
St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Russian Orthodox icon tempera on a wood. The silver riza is a parcel-gilt silver, adorned with engraved patterns.
Hallmarks: Cyrillic maker's mark, 84 silver standard, kokoshnik.
Russia second half of the 19th century.

Condition: Good overall. Much of the fabric on the reverse of the item is missing, the remnants are worn and frayed. The silver riza is slightly dented along the edges.
