A Croatian Wound Badge for 1 wound, with original ribbon. The obverse with trefoil supporting crossed swords over the symbol of the Ustase encircled by oak wreath and inscription ‘ZA POGLAVNIKA I ZA DOM’ (for Leader and Home), the reverse with checked shield of Croatia supporting the arms of the Ustase, inscribed ‘PRIZNANJE DOMOVINE’ (Acknowledgement of the Homeland), dated ‘1942’ surrounded by double border of three wavy lines; age-toned; on probably replaced correct ribbon for one wound. The medal was created in 1942 and awarded until 1945.
