GEROME JEAN-LEON: (1824-1904) French painter and sculptor. A.L.S., J L Gerome, one page, 8vo, Coulevon, n.d. ('Jeudi'), to a friend. Gerome states that he has just been in search of a piano, although they don't have any there, and asks his friend to take care of the matter himself and have one sent to him, remarking that if it comes from Paris then they will have the advantage of securing a better one. Gerome further asks for it to be shipped as soon as possible, and for his friend to visit even quicker, and provides the address for it to be sent to. With blank integral leaf (minor traces of former mounting to the verso). Some light foxing to the edges, otherwise VG
