CONVENTION NATIONALE: A good multiple signed National Convention decree, by FRANÇOIS RENÉ MALLARMÉ (1755-1835) French Statesman of the French Revolution. A strong supporter of Napoleon and the French Empire; ARMAND GENSONNÉ (1758-1793) French Politician. A brilliant Girondin orator. He was tried by the revolutionary tribunal and sentenced to death and guillotined at the age of 35. Gensonné proposed two of the most revolutionary measures passed by the Assembly, the decree of accusation against the King Louis XVI´s brothers, and the declaration of war against the Habsburg ruler Francis II. He voted for the King´s death sentence, and JEAN-ANTOINE LAFARGUE DE GRANGENEUVE (1751-1793) French Politician, a leading member of the Girondins. Grangeneuve could escape before his arrest but was found few months later, sentenced and guillotined. A good multiple signed National Convention decree, D.S., `Mallarmé´, `Gensonné Président´and `Grangeneuve´, two pages, folio, Paris, 20th March 1793, in French. The document bears to the heading a laureate monogram of the National Convention, 1792, and the printed heading "Excerpt from the Minutes", being a decree with four clauses related to citizens who were claiming a nobility title, and stating in part `Sur la mention d´un member, la Convention Nationale décrète: 1) Que tous les procès existants entre des Communes et des Citoyens  prétendants à se faire declarer nobles, sont annulés. 2) Que les Citoyens pretendant à la noblesse et à se faire déclarer nobles seront tenus de rembourser aux Communes tous les frais qu´ils leur ont occasionné…. 3) Que toutes saisies ou arrêts faits au prejudice des Communes, sur leurs revenus ou patrimoines, par les Citoyens se prétendant ou voulant se faire déclarernobles, demeurent annulés….´ ("On the request of a member, the National Convention decrees: 1) That all existing lawsuits between Communes and Citizens claiming to be declared nobles, are annulled. 2) That Citizens pretending to nobility and to be declared noble will be required to reimburse the Communes for all the costs they have incurred…. 3) That all seizures or judgments made to the detriment of the Communes, on their income or heritage, by Citizens claiming or wishing to be declared noble, remain cancelled...
