Power states that he has just returned 'from 10 wonderful days in Stockholm' and adds that he was touched by his correspondent's Christmas thoughts, remarking 'The tray will certainly be a most welcome addition to my N.Y. apartment, & will serve to remind me of your generous friendship - if I should need reminding'. The actor further writes 'Seems to me I made some extravagant offer of some record or other; but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. Would you enlighten me?' and concludes 'May the best of everything be yours this year - and thank you again for your many kindnesses to me & to the children. They loved their cushions, by the way'.
