ROSSINI GIOACHINO: (1792-1868) Italian Composer. A good and unpublished A.L.S., `G. Rossini´, one page, 4to, [Paris], 12th July 1836, to Deputy Felix Real, in French. Rossini addresses the present letter to his correspondent the Deputy Félix Real who had helped Rossini to sort out the pending amounts of his pension which had been granted by the King of France. Rossini is just back from Brussels and Francfort, where he met Mendelssohn, and asks his correspondent to kindly forward to him the documents related to his pension, stating `Ayez la bonté de m´envoyer la décision du Comité des Finances... je désire la lire encore une petite fois, avant d´écrire à Mr. Montalivet...´ (Translation: "Please be so kind as to send me the decision of the Finance Committee... I would like to read it once more, before writing to Mr. Montalivet...") With adressee to the verso. Small remnant of a former seal to the left border. Small overall age wear with a very small area of paper loss to the edge, not affecting the signature or text. G
