DUMAS ALEXANDRE: Fils (1824-1895) French Author and Dramatist. A fine and good association A.L.S., A. Dumas, one page, 8vo, n.p., n.d. [c. 1847?], to J. Autran, in French. The letter bears to the upper left corner of the front page a blind embossed crowned monogram. Dumas refers to his father and to his correspondent´s father too, both working on some rehearsals, and stating in part `Avez-vous reçu la lettre de mon père. Votre père est en répétition. Soyez ici le 6 au plus tard. Vous avez une chambre chez moi, rue et hotel de la Victoire. On ne parle que de vous au théatre ... on vous admire. Venez - on vous aimera´ (Translation: "Did you get my father's letter? Your father is in rehearsal. Be here by the 6th at the latest. You have a room at my place, rue and hotel de la Victoire. They only talk about you at the theatre ... they admire you. Come - they will love you") With blank integral leaf. Accompanied by the original 12mo enveloppe, addressed in Dumas´ hand `Monsieur J.
