CARNÉ MARCEL: (1906-1996) French film Director. A prominent figure of realism, best remembered for his film Children of Paradise (1945), often considered one of the best films of all time. A.L.S., Marcel Carné, one page, 4to, 16th July 1975, on his printed stationery, to Colette Monceau, in French. Having his correspondent made a study on his hand-writing, Carné states in part `Everything is there. I have discovered myself, or instead, I have discovered what I was trying to hide to myself
