Marc Chagall - Letter Hand-Signed by Him - 1980
Letter addressed to Mr. Ha'Levi, who was responsible for selling Chagall's creation in Israel and abroad.
Chagall asks Ha'Levi to personally take care of it that the revenues from the medal minted according to Isaiah 42:6 ("light of the nations") will be used for helping homeless young couples in Israel – according to what had been agreed upon with Prime Minsiter Menachem Begin.
The letter is hand-signed by Chagall.
22x28 cm.
Condition: Very Good. A small tear at the side.
