Keren Ha'Yesod Builds the Land of Israel - an Illustrated Poster - Yiddish - Extremely Rare, from Rabbi Aryeh Levin's Home
Keren Ha'Yesod builds the Land of Israel. A unique poster in Yiddish with nice pictures and illustrations. Design: Aryeh Elhanani. "Graphica Yerushalayim" Printing Press, [1926].
At the center of the poster, a text on the achievement of Keren Ha'Yesod in different fields (such as establishing neighborhoods, health funds and more). Around it are illustrations and pictures depicting the activities of Keren Ha'Yesod in the fields of agriculture, industry, education and more. Amongst the figures are also Haredi Jews working to settle the land, and two pictures from Kibbutz Nahalal… at the bottom is an inscription calling to aid the building of the land and to strengthen Keren Ha'Yesod.
This rare poster of Keren Ha'Yesod of the Zionist Federation, which praises the building of the country and its settlement, was in Rabbi Aryeh Levin's home. Attached is a document signed by a family member stating the above. According to the marks made by pins and tacks, it is most likely that it hang in Rabbi Levin's Sukkah.
