A Proclamation of the Israeli Government – 1950
A proclamation issued by the State of Israel on 21.4.1950 calling all to be joyous on Israel’s Independence Day and prepare for future challenges.
The proclamation describes the achievements of the young state and the immigration to Israel from countries all over the world. “The inferno of the concentration camps in the Nazi countries culminated this year…the remaining Jews in the European countries immigrated to Israel.” Israel became a member of the United Nations, the increase of security in Israel, and strengthening and enforcement of the employment and general industry and commerce, and more.
Afterwards, there is a list of areas requiring improvement, for example: continuous immigration to Israel, development of the wasteland, and more.
