About 50 photographs arranged in an album, documenting the operations of the Military Police during the War of Independence. Different locations in Palestine, ca. late 1940s.
The hotographs show: convoys of military police vehicles in the Negev; tent camps; policemen installing an improvised sign at the intersection between Beersheba, Kibutz Ze'elim and Kibutz Gevulot; visit to the Roaring Lion monument in Tel-Hai; policemen playing in the snow (in Jerusalem?); three photographs of the Eighth Division (Armored Corps Division in the Independence War); Division Commander Yitzchak Sade with his subordinates and two photographs of armoured vehicles presented in formation; and more.
A number of photographs are titled by hand on the back. Some of the photographs might be of a later period.
Average size: approx. 9.5X6.5 cm. Condition varies. Good-fair overall condition.
