Interesting Letter by Two Brothers-in-Law, Rabbis of Jerusalem, on Behalf of Rabbi Shmuel Salant – 1895
Letter by the brothers-in-law Rabbi Eliyahu Mordechai Eisenstein (Rabbi Shmuel Salant's secretary) and Rabbi Nachum [Ragoznitzky] ben Rabbi Yitzchak Shimon, to the philanthropist R. Yehoshua Feibl Mister Phillip Tanchen.
The Yiddish letter before us describes the study of Mishnayot for the ascent of the soul of the addressee's father, R. Yaakov Chaim, and refers several times to the rabbi of Jerusalem, rabbi Shmuel Salant.
Possibly, this is a copying of the original letter from the time of its writing.
Good condition. Fold marks. Wear.
