A CHINESE BISCUIT ENAMELLED SANCAI PORCELAIN DISH, KANGXI MARK. Creamy white glazed porcelain body incised with five clawed dragon amidst clouds chasing a flaming pearl with band of two further dragons to the edge. Further decorated with branches of the auspicious pomegranate fruit in vibrant green, yellow and aubergine enamels outlined in black. The exterior sides similarly decorated. Six-character mark of Kangxi to base in underglaze blue on a duck egg ground. 37cm diam.
A faint 3.5cm vertical hairline to the rim. The dish has had a professional repair to the rim measuring approx. 8cm x 4cm.
