A JAPANESE MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1912) BLACK AND GOLD LACQUER LETTER BOX (FUBAKO) AND A STERLING SILVER INKWELL WITH GLASS LINER. The box of rectangular form, decorated with autumn foliage, 23.5cm wide, the tapering square section inkwell engraved with flowers and grass, stamped OKUBO Sterling, 2cm high
The box with some minor flaking and wear to the edge of the rims, the inkwell with some discolouration/tarnishing to top, minor wear.
