A JAPANESE PORCELAIN WRITING BOX (SUZURIBAKO), 19TH CENTURY. Painted in coloured enamels, the cover with two beauties amongst jardinieres of prunus and floral cartouches, the sides with similar leafy fonds and flowers, reserved on a turquoise ground, the base with a circular aperture and a circular and square shaped well. 27.7cm wide
Lacking its inkstone and water dropper, some slight wear to enamels, small misfired glaze blemishes, otherwise in good order.
