A PAIR OF 20TH CENTURY JAPANESE BRONZE FIGURES OF ACTORS AS THE LEGENDARY COUPLE JO AND UBA. He modelled standing wearing long robes, with a rake, she modelled seated with long hair and robes, with a broom, each wearing masks with two character signature to reverse. He 34cm high, she 21.7cm high (4)
The rake and the broom are later additions. The rake does not fit comfortably in Jo's hand and Uba, who is seated cannot hold the broom. Both with some very slight wear to surface, otherwise they are ok. Gross weight 11,85kg exc. rake and broom.
