The copy is well-worn from use. The margins of the sheets are decorated with ancient comments and glosses by a Talmid Chacham of stature who diligently studied this copy, writing his scholarly glosses on it. Their content indicates his knowldge of Torag, Aggadah and Drush. On leaf 6a, where the Gemore writes: "אלמלא נתנה רשות לעין לראות אין כל בריה יכולה לעמוד מפני המזיקין", this Talmid Chacham offers a scientific explanation for understanding the Sages' words. Some of the glosses are lengthy and significant. Unfortunately, we did not manage to identify the writer.
