Incredibly rare: Volume of the first issues of Das Yiddishe Licht. New York, 1923-24.
A volume containing most of the issues of the Jewish periodical “Das Yiddishe Licht”—The Light of Israel—published in Yiddish and English by Ner Tamid Publishing Company. Some of the issues have a designed jacket. Starts with #1 (the first year, Parshat Va’era, 2nd Shvat 1923) until Issue #50, Vayakel, 24th Adar I, 1924.
The issues are filled with articles from gedolei Yisrael, authors and thinkers of the period, advertisements for Jewish companies and valuable historic content.
Stains and moisture evidence, tape and tears in a number of places with damage to the text, not checked thoroughly—sold as is. Missing issues 2, 6, 32, 49.
