Klever Yuli Yulievich (1850-1924) - professor of landscape painting (since 1881). He was born in Dorpat in the family of a teacher at the University of Dorpat. He studied at the IAH (since 1867) with S. Vorobyov and M. Klodt (he did not finish the course). At the age of 28, he was awarded the title of Academician of painting. He lived in St. Petersburg. In the late 19th - early 20th century, he lived in Germany. He worked in Finland, Smolensk province, Belarus. In Riga he had a workshop and students. Participated in exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, the Society for the Encouragement of Arts and in international exhibitions. He organized his own independent exhibitions. According to contemporaries, since the late 1880s, spectacular autumn and winter evenings with crimson sunsets, beloved by the public, have been multiplying and repeating. He attracted other lesser-known artists and his students to work on his paintings.

Works of Yu.Yu.The clover was in the collection of the Academy of Fine Arts, the best private art galleries. Currently, the artist's works are in the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum and many other museums in Russia.
