Certificate of Donation of the Benefit Society [Tongeleth] - Amsterdam 1823
"A certificate from the donation of money, which was raised with good will, from all that his heart gave him, about ten zloty, for the benefit company in Amsterdam." Document No. 30 signed by the heads of the "Benefit" company in Amsterdam, confirming that the donation of ten zloty was given as free loan, without interest.
The company's goal was to raise 400 gold coins from 40 different borrowers. Includes details of how money is returned. The certificate appears in print, its number - [30] in handwriting, and appears in it the signatures of the head - Yisrael Kaster, the agent - Shmuel Mulder, and the writer - Ya'akov Hartana in their handwriting [with a long addition in the latter's handwriting about this bond] Company.
The To'elelt movement was a literary association founded in 1815 by the writer and translator Shmuel Israel Mulder [who is signed in the certificate before us], and Moshe Lemans.
