Holocaust: Divrei Efraim, Rabbi Efraim Oshri, NY 1949.
With names of the Lithuanian Rabbis who were killed in the Holocaust.
R. Ephraim Oshry (1914-2003), was born in Kupishok, Lithuania and learned in the great Yeshivos of Kelm, Ponevezh and Slabodka. In 1934, he received Semicha from R. Avrohom Duber Kahana Shapiro and R. Leib Rubin of Wilkomir among others and served as a Rav in Slabodka. During the War, R. Oshry stayed in the Kovno Ghetto and served as an assistant to R. Avrohom Duber Kahana-Schapiro the Kovno Rov. With the Kovno Rov ailing, many of the halachic questions that arose were put to R. Oshry.
