Malm, Alba (1897-1986) "Magnoila and Bud" 1955 watercolor
Alba Malm (1897-1986) "Magnolia and Bud" 1955 watercolor, signed in lower right, good condition, image size: 13.5 x 9.5 inched. Alba Malm was born Lindsborg, Kansas, 1897 and died in Lindsborg, 1986. Alba Almquist was a painter and craftswoman. She received a B.A. degree from Bethany College, Lindsborg where she was a pupil of Birger Sandzen and her father, Gustav Malm Almquist. She did graduate work at the University of Kansas, Lawrence on a science scholarship and taught for many years in schools in and around Lindsborg.
