Garzio, Angelo, stoneware, bowl with fish design
Angelo Garzio (1922-2008) stoneware, bowl with fish design, signed on bottom, fair condition, chips in glaze around lip of bowl, no cracks, Angelo Garzio (1922-2008) was born in Italy and immigrated to the US in 1929. He completed his MFA in ceramics at the University of Iowa before coming to Kansas State University as an assistant professor of ceramics in 1957, and was promoted to full professor in 1966. In 1972, Garzio received the institution's Distinguished Graduate Faculty Award. He taught at the university until shortly before his death on January 20, 2008.
Condition: fair condition, chips in glaze at lip of bowl, no cracks
