Potted Geraniums" 6/30 is an etching, pencil signed "Kristin Maija Peterson" lower right, in good condition, 8.75x15.5. "I am Kristin Maija Peterson, a traditional and digital artist working in watercolor, ink, pastels, typography, metal point and book arts. There is something about growing up in West Central Minnesota along the prairies and oak savannas that is intrinsically in me and is reflected in my art. My work focus is on Native Wild Spaces - up close and chaotic. I want to elevate these spaces for their value and purpose, for their regeneration of the land and providing shelter for wildlife. My style ranges from interpretative realism - post-modern ecological to illustrative storybook whimsy. What ever I create there is a story behind it, either real or slightly made up.
