Pair of Yellow Sevres Style Urns
Pair of French old Paris Sevres style porcelain lidded urns. Each hand painted with scenes of two figures in the countryside framed by gilt accents against a yellow (jaune) ground. The other side painted with bouquets of flowers. Mounted with gilt bronze ormolu fittings, stands, and finials. The ormolu handles in the form of goat's heads clutching wreaths in their mouths. Marked along the underside with a Sevres mark indicating a date of 1753.
Each; Height: 16 3/4 in x diameter: 3 3/4 in.
