Eames Herman Miller Time Life Chair 1st Gen.
Charles Eames (American, 1907-1978) and Ray Eames (American, 1912-1988) for Herman Miller, United States. Mid-century modern Time Life desk or office chair with a four star base with castors, first generation, ca. 1961-1985. With dark brown leather upholstery. Retains the original Herman Miller label along the underside. With an additional paper tag affixed along the underside with the numbers "HO901 '871."
Height: 36 in x width: 26 1/2 in x depth: 22 1/2 in.
Condition: The chair is structurally sound and all components are firmly attached. Heavy wear to the leather upholstery including a missing button along the seat, stretching and small splits throughout, losses, and general wear; all visible in the lot listing. Wear and scratches to the metal components of the chair. Heavy wear to the wheels; however, the chair moves smoothly on the wheels.
