Paul Cadmus Seated Nude Graphite on Paper Sketch
Paul Cadmus (American, 1904-1999). Graphite on paper sketching depicting a nude figure from the waist down. They sit on a chair with their legs crossed. Pencil signed along the lower right.
Provenance: Estate of Paul Cadmus; The collection of Jon Anderson; Private Minnesota collection.
Height: 10 1/2 in x width: 8 in.
Condition: There is a small tear along the lower left. Handling marks and light creases throughout. There is a spot of foxing/acidic burn along the lower right. There are areas where the pencil was pushed with some force into the paper, creating indents which are original to the artistic process. "J.F." is written in pencil twice: once along the upper right and once along the lower left. The work is not framed.
