Japanese Orange Raku Chawan Tea Bowl w/ Box
Japanese Raku ware chawan tea bowl with an orange glaze. Stamped along the underside. Prewar, early Showa, ca. 1926-1939. In a signed wooden Tomobako box.
(Bowl) height: 3 in x diameter: 4 3/4 in. (Box) height: 4 1/2 in x width: 5 1/2 in x depth: 5 1/2 in.
Condition: No chips, cracks, losses, or restorations. Crazing to the glaze throughout. Light wear to the box.
