Carved Mahogany Busk w/ Freemason Symbols 1820
Mahogany busk dated December 25, 1820. Carved with Freemason symbols, a heart, a profile of a figure, and a cow. Busks were used in corsets and stays.
Provenance: (By repute) from Coventry, Rhode Island; Private Minnesota Collection.
Height: 8 1/4 in x width: 2 in.
Condition: There are no major cracks, chips, or losses. There is wear throughout, as expected from age and use. No signs of restoration.
