Jost Amman Diana "Enchiridion Artis" Etching 1578
Jost Amman (Swiss/German, 1539-1591). Etching depicting the goddess Diana sitting on a stag holding an arrow, 1578. An illustration to "Enchiridion Artis" Kunstbuchlein published by Sigmund Feierabend and printed by Peter Fabricius.
Height: 6 in x width: 4 3/4 in.
Condition: There are no visible tears or losses. There are minute creases along the left and right margins. The sheet is yellowed and there is foxing throughout. The lower right quadrant is soiled. There are no signs of restoration under UV light. Not in frame.
