Kuniyoshi "Kanzeon no Reigen" Woodblock Triptych
Utagawa Kuniyoshi (Japanese, 1797-1861). Ukiyo-e triptych woodblock print titled "Kanzeon no reigen: hitotsuya no furu-koto roba no sekiaku (The Lonely House)" depicting the Hag of Adachi-ga-hara in the Lonely House with her victim and the apparition of the goddess Kannon. Published by Minato-ya Kohei ca. 1839-1841.
(Each) height: 14 1/2 in x width: 10 in.
Condition: The sheets are toned. Some wear along the extreme edges. Minute losses throughout. Soiling along the verso of each sheet. The work is not framed.
