Claes Oldenburg (Swedish/American, 1929-2022). Aquatint on paper titled "Postcard of the Spoon on Ile St. Louis, with Needles, " 1979. Pencil signed and dated 1979 along the lower right; numbered 21/50 along the lower left.
Provenance: Percival Galleries, Inc., Des Moines, Iowa; Distinguished Corporate Collection.
Height: 26 in x width: 21 3/4 in.
Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are no major tears, losses, or signs of restoration. Wear along the deckled edges, particularly along the right edge. There are two small areas of skimming along the upper edge of the verso. The work is not framed.
