CONFEDERATE N.C.O. MOUNTED ALBUMEN PHOTOGRAPH
Mounted albumen photograph of what appears to be a young Confederate N.C.O., 8 X 5.75 in. overall, shows the man three-quarter length and seated with his hands in his lap. His jacket displays at least seven button and cuffs have two buttons, one on either side of some piped trim commonly seen on C.S.A. uniforms. The mount is marked 'F' in one corner, and the soldier is identified as 'A. L. MANNING' in pencil on verso. The right corner of the image was lost, and the mount was colored to 'match' the photo long ago. Despite the repair, still very good.
